Daria Zane

Biographical Sketch

Daria Zane graduated from George Washington Law School with honors. She began her career as a law clerk in the D.C. Superior Court. After being hired through the Department of Justice Honors Program, she served as a trial attorney in the Environment and Natural Resources Division and then as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia, litigating criminal and civil cases at the trial and appellate level in local and federal courts in D.C. and throughout the country. She was appointed a Special Master in the United States Court of Federal Claims, where she decided cases involving claims for injuries caused by vaccines. Upon leaving public service, she worked for various nonprofits, including Whitman Walker Health, representing patients, and the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, representing consumers sued for debts and tenants in eviction matters. She has taught various law school and CLE classes. She is a member of the Maryland, D.C., Florida and Virginia Bars. She teaches legal writing and advocacy.
