Katie O'Meara Orrico, J.D. 1991, received the Medical Executive Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Medical Association. The award honors a medical association executive who has contributed substantially to the goals and ideals of the medical profession. She has represented the American Association of Neurological Surgeons in Washington, D.C. for 31 years. In his remarks, AMA President Andrew W. Gurman, M.D. noted that Katie is "Respected by colleagues for her leadership, mentorship and library of knowledge on policy, legislation and government operations, she is a workhorse for a healthier tomorrow."
